When the East Bay Bus Rapid Transit service debuts in late 2017, plans call for buses to run every 5 minutes in each direction during peak service hours.┬áThe heart of the program is quick, reliable, on-time service.┬áWith approval by both Oakland and San Leandro city councils, the project is officially underway.┬áThe project will be implemented in three phases. The construction activity for first two phases started┬áin March┬á2015 and is anticipated to be completed by March┬á2016. The construction activity for third phase will begin in┬á2nd quarter of 2016 with the first BRT run planned for┬áwinter 2017.
